Have you forgotten to be Thankful?

This morning I read on Luke 17. I have read Luke chapter 17 before but as each time I repeated...new insight I received. I used to read the bible like a story book, indeed it is like a story...I merely read. There is one thing I always missed...that is to mediate on the story. And I think I am not the only one, there are many others just like me, we merely READ and forget, READ and never apply.
This morning as I sat on my office desk, I read Luke 17 again, about the story of how Jesus healed the ten of leprosy. Leprosy is a kind of skin disease. When the ten men met with Jesus, they cried out to Him in loud voice,"Master, have pity on us!"
Jesus did not ignore them and our Lord will never ignore us whenever we call out to him. He always hear you. As the ten men cried out to Him for mercy, He said to them "Go, show yourselves to the priests." And as they went, they were cleansed. (Luke 17:14)
However, when the ten men are healed, only ONE man came back to Jesus, threw himself at Jesus' feet and thanked Him. Noticed the sad word of Jesus that followed, "Were not all ten cleansed?" Where are the other nine? (Luke 17:17)
Reflection: Are we at times behave just like the nine? We do know that all things we have comes from God. It's a blessing from God and yet do not bother or even forget to go back and thank Him. As I positioned myself at the point when Jesus said, "Were not all ten cleansed?"...I think He must be very sad....
So friends, let us remember to give God the praise, glory and honor and acknowledge that He is the source of every blessing in your life. When your heart is thankful toward God, you positioned yourself for even greater blessings! As you read on, the man who came back to give thank received additional blessing. Jesus said, "Rise and go; your faith has made you well."
Let the praise of God be in our mouths~
