The Ainu Museum (Porotokotan)
Come, let me bring you to our next destination, The Ainu Museum!
"Ainu" is originally an Ainu word meaning, "Human". The Ainu, the indigenous people of Hokkaido with their own culture and language, had lived in Hokkaido, the northern part of Japan's Tohoku region, Southern Sakhalin and Chishima Island before those areas were developed by Japanese and Russian settlers.
The Ainu settlement, which originally in Shiraoi's urban district, was moved and restored at the shores of Lake Poroto in 1965 to form this outdoor museum to preserve and exhibit the Ainu's cultural assets. The facilities include five cises (a thatched house), a museum, a botanical garden and an animal barn. This museum is popularly known as Porotokotan, which means a large lakeside village.

Our Japan Trip Photos~!
Hi all, finally...and so sorry for the delay in posting these photos. When I opened up my photo folder, I got a SHOCK! Don't worry, the photos are still intact :-) only that I did not realise we took so many pictures during this trip and wonder how long it will take me to upload all of them here. So, I guess I will have to do it in parts..hope u don't mind :-)

Racing with TIME
Tons of work left undone.I felt like I am in a race with TIME this week.
I wanted to accomplish all the work but the more I rush myself, the more like “It was undone”. Have you been there before?
I asked Lord for strength, something I needed most from Him this week and He is faithful to do so. Whenever I felt drained, I drew strength from Him. Otherwise, how you think I can “TAHAN” till now?
Zayden was admitted to hospital last Friday for vomiting & stomache. It all happened on Thursday when he came back from school. Around 5 plus, he started complaining tummy pain. Without delayed, I fed him some medicine but the pain did not seem to go. Later that evening, he started throwing. He vomited badly until there was "nothing" left for him to throw out but acid juices. The poor boy looked pale, his face is as white as snow.
We brought him to TMC 24 hrs clinic and doctor admitted him later that same evening. I thank God that he felt better after that and the pain gradually lessen. As I was coping between hospital & work, I thank God for His grace and His words. The word that rises up inside me was..."Take a step at a time, My grace is sufficient for you."
As I learned to rest on these words, I realised every needful work is done one by one. At times when we are at our weakest, God's word give us strength. It's like taking medicine. As I feed on His words, His power is working inside me, strengthen my spirit, guiding me to victory. All Glory unto God~

Prayer
Lynette Hagin’s message spoke to me this morning. In her message, she brought my attention back to prayer. As I read on, I realized that I am just one of those she mentioned.
She said too often, things aren’t accomplished in our life because we don’t ask! Some people only ask God for things when they get into trouble. Sound familiar? I am one of them.
I know I need to pray as much as I could and I do pray but still, sometimes, prayer became my last resort. I paused and think…why is it so? I realized many times, I tend to try to solve the problem myself. Be it at work or handling children, I tend to try this and that and….then finally; I knew I just had to pray about it. Finally had to pray about it? You see, prayer became my last resort when it odd to be the first. Even at this point of writing, I have to keep reminding myself about what God says about prayer.
Prayer is so important that God commanded us in His word to pray.
1) Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit…(Eph 6.18)
2) Pray without ceasing (1 Thess 5:17)
3) I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting (1 Tim 2:8)
When God keep repeating His point, there is something really important that He is trying to put across to us. I truly believe that our God is all out to bless us. The bible says that the Holy Spirit will show us things to come (John 16:13), but how can God warn us something if we never talk to Him? If we spent more time in prayer, we would be able to pray on the offensive instead of having to pray on the defensive when problems arise. When we enter into a life of prayer, the Lord will show us things to come!
So, let’s make prayer a source of continual communication between God and us. Let’s pray without ceasing. Amen.

The Funky Forest & Daisies
We can 'grow' our own trees...Amazing!
Stream of water, we can use it to 'water' our trees.Last Saturday, we bought the children to the Singapore Art Museum. There is an exhibition going on from now till 18th July 2010 for the kids - Art Garden.
Surprisingly, the crowd was more than what I expected but my reason for bringing them there was to let them expose themselves to contemporary art in a fun and relaxing environment. It was indeed an eye-opener for them and myself too.
We ventured into The Enchanted Forest where sheep fly and imaginary animal roam freely. Next, we hopped into The Funky Forest and Daisies, and discover how movement will make streams 'flow' and trees 'grow'.
We then marched down into this surreal world of stop motion animation that blur fact and fiction. Oh yes, not forgetting Floribots, an award winning work featuring over 100 giant robot flowers that 'grow' before your very eyes from a bud until they 'bloom' pink and yellow.
The children also had a good time @ Walter's Garden, a creative playground where children can learn about colours, shapes and develop psychomotor skills through play.
