My sister-in-law blessed me with a facial & massage session in Giman Beauty & Wellness last month. However, due to the children examination, I only get to use it 2 days ago. I booked the session at their new outlet located at Boon Keng.

I did the Oxygen Moisturizing Treatment (facial) which took about 1 hr 45mins and Lymph Drainage Treatment (massage) which took 45 mins.

Here's my review :

The lady (Judy) who did my massage is a Filipino. Her gentle hands stroke to & fro my tired body and all of a sudden, I thought I landed in heaven...seriously. It has been a long time I had a whole body massage and as she tackled my problem areas, I felt some pain tho but like she said, "No pain no gain. Why pay money to get people to touch touch you only!" She told me many of her customers complained and even scolded her for the first time when she attended to them (bec. the massage is causing them pain) but she stick by her principle, to give the best service to the customers...she wants them to be well. And true enough, after a few session, the pain lessen and eventually they enjoy every session with her then. An old lady with walking problem is now walking better...from her conversation, I learnt something. Many people give up on something because it cause them discomfort or inconvenience. Many of them still struggling with their problem today but only those who persevere, they bear fruits that give them greater relief like the old lady who cannot walk at first and now walking well. I believe God will us to persevere, be it in our walk with him, be it in any problem or trial in our life, be it an yet to-be answered prayer...God will us to persevere. In Roman 5:3-4, it says We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance [perseverance]. And endurance [perseverance] develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.

God wants to build our character, maybe we don't see or understand His way but the bible says His ways is higher than ours so I learn to place my trust on Him.

Back to the review before I got carried away...haha!

For the facial, it is more or less the same offered in other beauty centers. The extraction of blackheads is bearable. The only thing I don't really like is the mask which they used - the rinse off type. I personally preferred the peel off type and they do not masked the neck area :-(

Overall, I am pretty satisfied with their services, the only thing that hinder their perfection is they only entertain package customers (exclude first timer), which means they only takes in customer who sign up package with them. They do not provide Ala-Cart service.
