Yesterday was our helper, Ros, birthday. We bought a small mango cake from Four Leaves to celebrate with her.

As usual, we had our family Christmas gathering on Christmas evening at our place. The children enjoyed themselves, playing together. Jessie bought her two boys to join us again this year. It was an enjoyable evening together...

Like many others, I am already in my holiday mood and counting down to year 2010.
There is not much work this week as many people have started their vacation. Just 2 more days, we will wave goodbye to year 2009 and move into year 2010. As I look back, I can only be thankful to God for all He have done for us. Year 2009 has been a eventful year for our family. Our family were baptised altogether into the Lord's Family, declaring to others that we want to follow Jesus wholeheartedly.
God has always been faithful to our prayers and Mom was saved this year as well. God fulfilled what is in the bible,"Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved - you and your household."
I hold on to these words, firmly believe that the rest of the extended family will come to know Christ one day.
Next, God fulfilled my wish to study His word, granting me a place in BSF for which I am thankful. Attending BSF allow me to go deeper into His word, to share thoughts with other sisters in Christ. I am glad God sustained me the whole year to complete the Life of Moses. I cannot imagine to do it by my own effort for I know that I will fail without Him. Right now, I am looking forward another year on the book of John. *Excited*

So, my resolutions for coming year is to..
1. Love God More each day.
2. Set aside time for God.
3. Complete Book of John beautifully.
4. Spent quality time with family.
5. Be wise on all spending.

Finally received the email from John yesterday for this Sunday Kingdom kidz program. Next year, I will be leaving my kindees and join the kidz (the P1). They are no stranger to me cos they are the badge of K2 last year. Of cos, I am looking forward to having them with me again this year. Somehow, I do miss the kindees. They are a bunch of loveable kids. I'm going to miss watching Deborah and Ashley dancing during worship, Joel shy shy look, Joan asking "Auntie Shirley, can I have that sweet?" and Kerle lovely face. Here's a picture of them...lovely, aren't they?

I was down with a bad sore throat since 20th December 2009. Usually, a course of antibiotics will clear the throat but this time round, I need to take 2 courses. *Sigh*
The cough + sore throat was so bad that I lost my voice. On my second visit to the doc, he advised me to let my throat rest and don't talk...in my heart, I was thinking....how impossible!

Despite my "Sexy" + "Broken" voices, I sang out loud in Church on Sunday during worship... I just want to honor the Lord, singing Him praise simply because He was the reason I am there for. I told the Lord..." Lord, even I lost my voice completely, I will still sing & worship You...even if the devil wants to stop me, All the more I will sing and I will sing out loud!"

Praise God, I did not lost my voice completely and I am feeling much better tho I have not get back my usual voice. At least, I can still talk s-o-f-t-l-y. I thank God for that.

Our cell gathered at Serene's place last Saturday for an early Christmas celebration. The children really had a great time playing together and unwrapping the presents. We took this opportunity to celebrate the December's Babies Birthday. This cake was baked to bless our 3 little princesses - Deborah, Asley & Chloe. Hope you like it, girls!

Last weekend, we bought the children to the Singapore Flyer, together with Cindy's family and Jeff's family. The children had a good time enjoying the view during the 30 min ride.

In our home, only Zenden and myself love cheese. Yes. fattening as it may be but we simply love the taste of it tho it may add a few inches to my waistline but still, onces in a while, it is ok to indulge.

Hubby sms me on Wednesday and asked if I could make a cake for Devean (his colleague) birthday on Thursday.Of cos, I am more than happy as it will be another chance for me to sharpen my skill..haha. Straight on my mind was Cheesecake! As I know that Devean likes chocolate, so I decided on Oreo Cheesecake.

Digging into my recipes to get ready all the ingredients, went to NTUC and viola! Oreo is on Sales! HAHAHA...2 packets of 137g each selling only $1.90. What a steal!Grab!

Oreo Cheesecake is pretty easy to make so It was all done within an hour during the night. I left it to chill in the fridge till the next morning before packing it for Hubby to bring to workplace.

This cake was a surprise for Devean actually. I came to know that they ate the cake after their meetings in the afternoon..hmmm...really know how to enjoy life!
Comments from his colleagues; some say nice. Some say ok but cheesy. Overall, it tastes not bad was the comment from hubby.

Like I said, not everyone appreciate cheese but I still appreciate their sincere feedback. Hubby told me not many are cheese lovers but nonetheless, they finished the whole cake. That is worth all my effort :-)

Matthew 6:26

Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

Perched on a tree branch, two birds were observing passers-by rushing from one place to another. Looking at their faces, one bird asked the other, “Why is man so full of worries and cares?” The other bird answered, “Maybe they don’t have a heavenly Father like we do.”
I believe that the Lord made birds to tell us that we are of more value than many birds put together. In Matthew 10:29, Jesus said, “Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin?” Then, in Luke 12:6, He said, “Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins?” If you do the math, you will realize that these sparrows are so cheap that you can buy four of them for two copper coins, and you get one thrown in for free!
Sparrows are common creatures in Israel. Yet, not even one of these cheap birds falls to the ground without the Father’s knowledge. (Matthew 10:29) Not one of them is forgotten before Him. (Luke 12:6) So will He forget you who are of more value than all these birds put together?
Jesus said, “Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them.” And if your heavenly Father feeds the birds of the air, how much more will He feed you, His precious, beloved child!
“Why don’t I see the supply then?” you may ask.
The answer is worry. That is why Jesus also said, “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’… For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.” (Matthew 6:31–32)
Beloved, if your heavenly Father cares for cheap, common birds, and feeds them every day, how much more will He care for you, His dear, precious child! Let your heart be at rest as you hear Him say to you, “Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.” (Matthew 10:31)

I feel the love from God today...do you?

We took leave to bring the children to Safra Jurong on Monday. Of cos, it supposed to be a gathering organised among we parents to allow the children to enjoy themselves during the school holiday.

Zay and Zen definitely looked forward the night before and woke up really early in the morning.
We met Stephen and Phoebe at Jurong Point for breakfast before heading to Safra. The kids spent the whole day swimming and playing in the indoor playground. We did not realise it was Bryan actual birthday...we had a small celebration for him in the cafe. Here's the pix...
