A Fall..
Zayden fell down yesterday...
No one witnessed exactly how it happened as he was alone in his room. The moment I heard him crying, the first thing that came on my mind "Oh dear, he must have fell!" True enough, I saw him facing down on the floor, crying. When I went near to him, I got a SHOCK! I saw blood gushing out from his chin and there was a deep cut at his lower chin. I started shouting for the helper and mom.
Everything happened really fast, it was like a drama....
We started to use tissues to press against his chin, trying to add pressure to stop the bleeding. Then I got the helper to carry him while I rushed down to the car park to get the car. In less than 10 minutes, we arrived at Dr Low Clinic and he attended to him immediately. After examined him for awhile, Dr Low told me that Zayden might need to get some stitching done as the cut was deep. He wrote a reference letter to KK hospital and then, we landed ourselves at KK Children A&E Dept. The doctor in charge confirmed that a stitch is needful and the procedure took about an hour, including 30 minutes of waiting for the numbing cream to work. There was a slight whining in between the procedures but overall, he is controlling well.
Despite of what happened, I really want to thank God...
I thank God that I was around when this happened. I could not have imagine what will happen if only the helper and mom was around after seeing how mom reacted when she saw the blood!
I thank God that the way to the hospital was smooth and there was not much waiting before he was attended.
Lastly, I thank God that Zay managed the stitching procedure well, just with the numbing cream alone. ( A mother of 2 seated near us suggested that we should asked the doctor to put him to sleep during the procedure.)
Now, I just pray and ask God to grant Zayden a speedy recovery and that the wound will heal beautifully and the scar will not be noticeable. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen!
