Making Time
Terence and me attended the mid-week service at NCC last night.
It was our first time there and I truly experienced what 'Crowded' means. We arrived early and took our time to settle our dinner at MOF. Despite Ellen advice that there's gonna be crowd, I dismissed the thought, thinking "It can't be that crowded mah, Wednesday leh!"
When we made the way to the entrance, I began to feel the flow of crowd gathered around me....we managed to walk to the main door, only to find ourselves blocked by the staff.
"Sorry, the main floor and overflow room all full." One staff told us.
"FULL!?" I exclaimed.
"Yes, all full. You may wish to go Gallery West, they have some space there." she continued.
Oh my GOSH....Gallery West! Only if you know where it was....It's at the convention centre and we had to walk right back to where we came from. Luckily, they do have shuttle bus to ferry us there. When the usher led us to the bus stop, my eyes almost fell off when I saw the queue. A long queue!
However, that did not deter us from wanting to spend our time with the Lord.
While waiting for the shuttle, I jokingly told Terence "Even Andy Lau concert can't draw this much crowd. See, how great our Jesus is!" haha....
How many knows that It takes effort to make time for Jesus? Despite the tiredness after long hours of work, people still make an effort to attend last night bible study. One thing in common...all wanted to know Jesus and they are there for Jesus. Hallelujah!
We finally arrived at Gallery West. It's a hugh and spacious area, filled with chairs and projectors. We walked till the verrrrrrrrry end ( I dragged the word cos its really long ) and guess what...NO MORE SEATS!!!!!!
Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! "Then how?", I was thinking....then, one usher came and told us that we may sit on the floor cause all seats were filled. The attendance was overwhelming.
In the end, we rested ourselves against some tables at the back of the row and that is how we sustained ourselves for 2 hours of bible study.
The point is not so much of where we are seated but rather how much we have learnt from the speaker last night. I thank God for last night teaching, it gave us a better understanding of the bible. Thank you, Lord!
