Duck & Dive Musical!
Mood: pleased 8)
Last weekend, I brought Zenden to this musical show at National Library Drama Centre. I bought the tickets from Sistic 3 months in advance just to secure a good seat. I was not able to bring Zayden along as his age does not permit entry. However, I promised to bring him along the next round as he would be able to join in by then.I was amazed by how beautiful the stage was designed. The costumes are so beautiful...its like we "Enter" into the fairytale story personally. The live band did a wonderful job in coordinating with the actors and actresses. Needless to say, they are good in singing. Initially, I thought it was too expensive to go but after watching, it is worth every cent. The child gets to experience how musical drama is like and most importantly, they will learn something good out of the show because the show focused on educational teaching. From the title itself, you will know that the main role involved a duck & a frog. An Ugly Duckling who REALLY does not fit in at home… A Frog who thinks he is a Prince… Both need a family… Both need a best friend… Both want to be loved… But both are very, very alone. Follow the adventures and misadventures of these two cute, but confused creatures in their quest for acceptance and security, as we cleverly intertwine two classic fairy tales: Hans Christian Andersen’s - The Ugly Duckling and The Grimm Brothers’ - The Frog Prince.Surprisingly, Zenden's favourite is neither the duck or frog but the cute little hedgehog. I would summaries this show with 4 words - beautiful, poignant, hilarious and wonderful.Hubby said he wants to go for their next production "Ollie and the slurge" after hearing so much from us when we returned home that night. haha..!
