John 14:26 ( Amplified Bible ) But the Comforter (counselor, helper, intercessor, advocate, strengthener, standby ), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name (in My place, to represent me and act on My behalf), He will teach you ALL things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you.
The first part of this verse sound no stranger to me. For some reason, my eyes set upon John 14:26 this morning. So I looked and read this verse.
I said in my heart, "Yes, Lord...I know God send the Holy Spirit to teach me ALL things and I know All means ALL."
My heart prompted, "Read Again" and I was like...?????...
I am sure I know this verse but since my heart felt prompted, I read it once more.
Same.Still very much the same... I thought.
Then came the prompting..."Is that all? See carefully."
I started to question myself from within...did I miss out something? So I read it once more, this time, S-L-O-W-L-Y.
"I saw something, Lord!". You said, "The Holy Spirit will also REMIND me everything You have told me!"
Hey, this last line has been there but I don't seem to notice it till this morning.
Thinking back, indeed. When I am faced with a situation in the past, somehow, I am reminded of a certain verse in the bible. I am reminded of what God has to say about my situation in His word. It is the Holy Spirit working and He is reminding me of all that God has said in His word.
Awesome!
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth and He will guide me into all truth. And not only that, the Holy Spirit will remind me that everything Jesus have told me. Amen!
